Overview
The
Touring Register has
been established to provide MG Car Club Members with economical
Touring holidays using their MG vehicle in the company of like-minded
enthusiasts who enjoy driving their car in a non competitive
manner.
All M.G. Car Club Members are welcome to join our activities;
your membership ensures instant access.
The Register organizes tours ranging in duration from 2 days
to 10-days.
The major annual "Extended Tour" organised by the
Register is conducted over a period of approximately 10 days,
mainly during February. Past tours have been to
- Tasmania,
- Kangaroo
Island in South Australia via the Great Ocean Road and home via the
Barossa Valley, Mildura & Swan Hill,
- East Coast of Victoria and
New South Wales taking in Canberra & the Snowy Mountains.
- Broken Hill and the
Barossa Valley
Future major tours will
include a return to
Tasmania, and a trip to the New South Wales Southern
Riverina.
The tours are well
organized
and the cost includes Tour Itinerary, Motel Accommodation,
Breakfasts, Evening meals, Entrance Fees, and where necessary,
Coach travel.
The Tour Director,
[Club
member] provides daily driving tips, [tourist items] maps, and
Route suggestions.
By purchasing our accommodation and other requirements in
bulk,
costs to members are kept to a minimum, and this form of touring
becomes an economical way of seeing the country side whilst
obtaining maximum enjoyment from your MG.
MG's are great little
cars
to enjoy the thrill of motoring, for they give you the sky, the
sun and the wind at no extra cost, they are for people who enjoy
driving cars of character, made for individuals.
For further
information,
